| - Pros: Everyone in the salon was pleasant and personable.
Cons: Spent FOUR hours having my hair dyed ombre. Two of the four hours were spent ripping my hair out after the "tease method" of dying. When I say ripping, I literally mean ripping my hair out of my scalp, and completely destroying it with destructive and aggressive combing. By the end, my entire head was numb and in pain. The amount of hair in the brush and all over the ground makes me absolutely shudder. Can't even imagine what the sink looked like, as that's where most of the picking happened. I don't have a sensitive scalp, but it was all I could do to keep my composure through this torturous two hours.
I'm not sure what products were used, but they left my hair feeling greasy and fried. For the amount of time the conditioner sat in my hair while the knots were painfully picked at in the sink, it did nothing to nourish my hair (which was NOT already bleached or over-dyed as I prefer my hair natural and rarely use a blow dryer, straightener, or dye.)
Had to take a shower immediately when I got home because the product used was making my skin break out around my scalp, forehead, and temples.
Upon later inspection by myself and roommate when my hair was dried, the cut and ombre are TERRIBLE. The left and right side of my hair aren't even (one is noticeably longer), and some pieces are super short while others are too long. The under layers of my hair are the shortest pieces, while the top layers remain longer. Awful! The ombre looks decent on the left-front side, but the entire top layer of my hair is barely touched by the dye, making it look like a strange brown under layer, with my natural blonde sitting on top.
To be clear, I do NOT recommend this salon. This was an extremely stressful and upsetting experience that I don't wish on anyone. Incredible waste of time and money. The best thing I can do at this point is wait for my disaster of a haircut to grow out so it can be fixed.
