| - Don't ever go here.
At my 2nd appointment, the technician BURNED my upper lip in 2 places (which later turned into 2 small scabs, one in the corner and one on top of a freckle). When I complained that the laser felt nothing like it did the first appointment, Kaye told me they'd just replaced the laser and maybe it hadn't been working properly at my first appointment. Really? So I'll be getting an additional treatment then, right? Umm, no.
After speaking with the owner Michelle on the phone, I was informed that she had recently told all her techs that they would no longer perform facial services on anyone with tan skin or who had darker patches on their face (like freckles). That's interesting considering the online deal they ran AFTER our conversation mentioned nothing of the sort. I'd also like to note that I specifically asked Kaye if they had the proper lasers to treat darker skin tones and was told YES, but of course Michelle took zero responsibility and just reminded me that I signed a waiver. Anyway, we agreed that she would refund my unused facial laser package (4 appointments) which came to $46 and I would continue with 5 more treatments on my underarms.
A few weeks later, just before my next appointment, I realized I had never received my refund from Skin Gravy. I called Michelle and expressed my frustration; I told her I wanted to be refunded for ALL my unused treatments. She really didn't even ask for details, just told me they'd had some "problems" with their account and promised to send me a check for the full amount. That should have been 4 facial treatments and 5 underarm treatments = $103.50.
I finally received a refund check about 8 days later - for $75.
And have I mentioned that my 3rd appointment was "mysteriously" cancelled without notice? The only reason I found out was because I logged in to their GenBook online appointment system to check the time I was scheduled for. I saw there that it was cancelled. Then, after calling Michelle, a snarky note was added to my Genbook account about my "complaints". Yes, your clients can see those notes.
Beware - Michelle Miller (the owner) told me they were moving locations. I wouldn't be surprised if that included a new name, too.
