Why is this place such a great find? For one, it's in a nondescript industrial like plaza. Two, the plaza that's it's in is pink and I can't read any other signs. Lastly, the door is just a big wooden Lord of the Ring looking thing and inside it looks like you fell into Alice in Wonderland.
Talk about being transported to another world. The high ceilings with the industrial charm mixed with a garden theme is worth stopping by alone. There is a giant book shelf you can sit on too! Fun! The counter has Instagram worthy pastries, but they really are tasty too. Not just for looks. The Lychee Rose cake is more custard like than cake. Floral, creamy, and sweet. The charcoal bun looks like a rock, but it is a very soft and moist bread. Be sure to ask for the sweetened cream cheese dipping sauce. It goes so well with bread and it's a small up charge. The iced jujube tea was really refreshing and not too sweet. They have iced and hot teas and coffees. I will have to try them all.
There is plenty of sit down areas and a communal table where people were working on their laptops too. Service was very friendly and pretty fast. There are little details everywhere and it gives you time to just relax and be mindful of what's around you. It's not full of clutter or weird themes. Another detail I liked was that there were actual teapots and cups to be served if you got hot tea. I find those little Victorian teapots charming and it ties in with their theme. What a find. I drive into Spring Mountain, into a pink industrial strip mall, just to get away from it all. Highly recommend!
