rev:text	I'm 57 years old and diagnosed with a carcinoid tumor in my lung. Lung cancer or cancer is a scared word tho after going for first opinion I knew I needed another opinion Went to see Dr. Beamer WOW!! What a Dr!!! She came in and informed me they will be doing my surgery using robotics. I was so happy as first surgeon cardiac thoracic wanted to do a such extreme invasive surgery that I truly felt I didn't know if I could make it. I had my surgery August 28th stayed 9 days and I can't thank Dr. Beamer for her services. ICU nurses were 10+ I have had a few setbacks but that is because I have smoked for 41 years Today is my first post op appointment and I'm happy to see Dr Beamer again to thank her for all she has done for me. Not only is she a great surgeon her personality kindness shines threw. I just want to squeeze myself as I just can't believe how wonderful everything went here at Mayo. Being in healthcare by self for over 30 years it's hard being a patient as I know what care I'm intitled to and it usually falls very short tho not mayo. I would recommend this Dr. and the hospital without thinking twice. Only bummer is it's an hr drive. May you all stay healthy as we're here for a reason to LIVE NOT SURVIVE! BLESSINGS TO YOU ALL.
