| - I came into this location about a month ago and got an oil change, everyone was nice and service was great. They explained to me why I needed a transmission flush and asked if I wanted to go ahead and get it done today. They even looked up on the computer when my car manufacturer suggests to get the service done. I asked how much the price would be and they told me 165.00, but with a coupon they could do it for 130.00. I decided to hold off for the time being.
Last week I went back in for the transmissions flush, and before they took my car back asked how long I should expect to wait and they told me "not long about 25 minutes" then when I went inside expecting to pay 130.00- 165.00 as I was quoted a few weeks prior, they told me it was going to be $240.00. Feeling slightly frustrated I asked why and they told me it was because my car took a synthetic brand that was more expensive and my only option with my transmission. They told me with a coupon it would come to $207.00. This is the same exact person who quoted me $130.00, he had not even looked at my car yet so I'm assuming that he could just gather this information from the computer, so I'm confused about why I was misquoted a few weeks prior, that's big price difference! I went ahead and got the service anyways, I don't feel like jiffy lube misleads customers or try's to make them pay more than they have to buy still it was frustrating, and I felt as if he was annoyed with my frustration. Then after waiting for about an hour I asked when my car would be done to which I was told "15 more minutes". This made me mad because I was told 25 minutes and had to be at work, this seemed to irritate him but he told me "it was really dirty so it was taking longer and that they wanted to get it clean." It's unacceptable for a service that you told me "wouldn't take long" and that I should expect 25 minutes to take over an hour. I understand things happen, maybe the transmission was extra dirty and needed the extra time which I obviously would appreciate, but I should be let known that time changed from 25 minutes to triple that. Other people have lives that they need to plan accordingly. I was late to an appointment with a client because of this, and that could have been easily addressed or avoided on my end had I known the possibility of it taking over an hour. I was extremely frustrated after having my car serviced last week and after gaining me as a return customer I no longer plan on returning after this experience.
