| - I have mid-back-length hair, and only ever get the dead ends trimmed. That's the exact direction I give every time I walk into a Great Clips: "I just want the dead ends cut off."
I have been to four different Great Clips in three different states, and there is ALWAYS a 50% chance that the stylist will give me a great trim that lasts for months. The other half of the time, the stylist will half-heartedly snip at my hair for about five minutes and then tell me I'm done.
So far, this trend has held true for this location. I've been here twice. The first time, I hadn't been able to afford a hair trim for a long time, and the stylist kept remarking on the abysmal state of my hair as she expertly trimmed the dead ends away. Thanks, I really needed that rubbed in. The second time, the stylist was more pleasant, but barely removed any split ends at all.
Tl;dr? If, unlike me, you actually care about maintaining a certain hairstyle, you may be better off elsewhere. If you're just looking for basic haircare, this is a good place to start. At least half the time.
