After their original College Street location burnt down a year or 2 ago, Canada Computers re-opened in the old Jumbo Computers spot right at the corner of College & Augusta.
The people working the counters can generally be pretty helpful, and one thing I can appreciate is that they don't seem to be paid on commission so they aren't forcing you to buy things you don't need. I can understand in Elaine's review below that this was actually a negative as she was looking for some insight that they didn't provide... But in my case it actually saved me money because instead of sending me home with a bunch of band-aid fixes they helped give me the insight to go home and troubleshoot until I found the true problem.
But the thing I can appreciate the most about this place is that they have a lot of stock and some of the best prices you can find. Well... At least the best prices you can find where they'll issue a receipt and return policy, and even an extended warranty if you want to pay a small fee.
Their return policy is good too and won't put up a big fight for issuing a refund. I've even taken cables right out of their packages and returned them when discovering it wasn't the cables that were the issue, and had a full refund supplied without question. It's the stuff like that that keeps me coming back versus going to one of the dime-a-dozen computer places on College between Spadina and Bathurst.
