Hiding in plain sight on an industrial road in Markham is this gem. Spacious with broad tables in front, a tasting bar midway, and the operations in back. Turn around and there's a stage for live music. Behind the bar is a turntable and a collection of vinyl. Along the wall are several spouts offering their latest pours below a large menu of beers.
I tasted a flight of their autumn ale, their Belgian, and their fuller flavoured beer. The beers on offer were first rate. Flavourful and fresh and balanced with full palate presence.
The owner's brother was offering his delicious chili in a well-baked milk bread bowl.
They plan to have live jazz Fridays. This is what Markham needs.
