| - I loved my short haircut! I walked in without an idea of what I want and just browsed through the haircut books Min had while she finished up with another client. I picked out a couple of pictures that I liked and pointed them out to Min, to one of which she said, "No good no good."
This place was low key and no frill. She didn't shampoo me. Instead, she just sprayed on water and started cutting. I have pretty thick hair and I just sat amazed as she razored and cut away. She was efficient (finished in 30 minutes, right as my parking meter ran out) and didn't talk much, not to me anyways. But the final result was really much better than haircuts that I've gotten at say, Aveda...
At the end, she said, "Beautiful!" I requested her to cut off some pieces of hair at the sides and she got a dismayed expression on her face, but did it anyways. "It's broken," She said. Haha...I still liked the haircut.
No frill also meant the price was pretty reasonable-$27 for long hair. Not your typical salon, but if you have Asian hair (and maybe other types of hair), it's a good place to go.
Also, she takes appointments but squeezes in whoever walks in, as I did. So beware, even if you have an appointment, she might get to you like 15 minutes later than the appointed time. But like I said, she's efficient.
