I went to La Fonda's because of the name. La Fonda reminded me of the chick in Neapolitan Dynamite.
We set down and you can tell this place is family owned. There we're young teenagers waiting on the table, and their english wasn't even that great. After I received my enchiladas/beans/rice plate, I looked down to see a HUGE pile of grease.
Beans are what you'd expect from a can you buy at the store. No real flavor, nothing special. The rice was on the plain side too. Pretty authentic, but lacked flavor. Good sauce on the enchilada, but boy that pool of grease made me quiver.
Hot hot chips, decent salsa.
What can I say? I won't be back again. I like my Mexican food more fresh, but that's just me.
