I'm writing this review while sitting at the store for the 4th time trying to get my issue resolved. If I could give this location ZERO stars I would and I will tell you why:
About a month ago I came into BIGS in search of a couch and love seat and found what I thought was a cute, very reasonably priced set. I spoke with Dan initially and he was very helpful and told me that that particular couch was on sale for 399 and 379 respectively. He also warned me that it may take a few weeks to get in. Great I told him... let me think it over and I'll be in touch.
I decided on the couch and came back only Dan wasn't available so Victoria helped me. After checking several details she informs me the couch is discontinued and so she is able to sell the floor sample to me at a discounted rate. Great, I'll take it! We signed paperwork worked out a delivery time and I was out the door. The MORNING OF the set delivery I get a call from Victoria telling me that that particular couch was actually NOT discontinued and the OWNER won't 'release' the couch at that price. Huh? That's sounds like it's not my problem right? Mind you by this time my good friend had cleared her schedule to receive the couch because I had to work AND I had family coming to stay with me that night! I was getting ready for work so I tell her I will call her back in 30 minutes to discuss.. this was at 10am... I called 7 times!!! I was hung up on twice and put on hold indefinitely 5 times!!! What the??
FINALLY the associate at their other location was able to send an email to them to contact me and at about 6pm that night I get a phone call from Victoria. The owner still won't budge. Now am I crazy or does it seem to you that this owner has no concept of good customer service? I finally agree to pay the promo price but ask for free delivery and free tax for the inconvenience and for having to wait another two weeks. They say yes to the delivery and no to the tax. After some well deserved words they say they'll give me a 50 dollar credit. I DON'T WANT YOUR CREDIT! Matter of fact I don't ever want to shop here again. Not to mention the credit was about the same as the tax would've been anyways! I felt like I was in the twilight zone.
Oh it gets better. So they tell me to swing by when I get a chance to fill out the new paperwork and set a new delivery date. I call them a few days later to tell them I'm coming afterwork. When I show up no one knows how to get the new paperwork filled out. They tell me that they will be in touch. I'm so frustrated at this point. I asked them to guarantee me the couch will be in before Feb 1st. She says yes.
Three days later I get a call from a woman saying that the love seat will be in the first week of Feb and so they'll just deliver both then. Um no. That's not was I was told. At this point I should've told them to suck it, but I knew it wasn't this woman's fault. She said the couch would in the 27th so I told her OK deliver the couch first and the love seat second. She says she will call me to schedule . It is the 27th today and still no call. Again, I call and call and call and nothing. So I go down there FUMING and ask to speak to a manager (Ken). The associate asks' is this a customer service issue'? I say yes. He says OK go ahead and wait there I'll get him. Ken NEVER CAME. Victoria and the ladies there worked out the paperwork finally and I still do not have a delivery set BUT KEN NEVER CAME TO TALK TO ME. I am still in shock. This place has decent furniture, but they need a MAJOR personnel overhaul. Having just won store manager of the year for all of Las Vegas the week before for the company I work for I think I know what it takes to capture that repeat business and grow sales and this place will never accomplish that with that kind of customer service. Good luck with that guys.
