| - What can I say, that hasn't already been said about this place?
Casey Moore's is easily one of the best - if not most beloved - bars in the Phoenix area, hands down. I've now been going to the downtown Tempe classic for nearly 10-plus years on a routine basis. The food is okay, sure, but it's the atmosphere and clientele that makes the place so charismatic and inviting. Whether for a low-key evening, a bender, or a quintessential day-drinking getaway, Casey Moore's usually fits the bill. Even on busy nights the service is friendly and personable. The inside is dark and cushy, but it's the spacious, wrap-around outdoor patio area is what seals the deal for me. It's practically peaceful. Greenery and brick everywhere, the place oozes with un-Phoenix like character.
Though the crowd at Casey Moore's is often just as image-conscious (respectively and respectfully), it's never as obvious or boorish as say, a lounge in downtown Scottsdale. From low-key urban hipsters and college intellectuals, to artists, writers, and musicians, the vibe is always unpretentious and welcoming.
And yes, because of Casey's crowds, their parking lot is usually packed. However, with the amount of street parking allowed in the immediate area around it, it's actually not a headache at all.
