  • The sleep study itself was fine but it has been such a long process. First they sent my husband home with the test and then he did the test at home and returned it the next morning. Then after 2 weeks, we find out that his sleep apnea is so severe that they need him to come in for another test. Fine... But they had to book him a month out because they were booked. (So I'm mad that they are making a man with sever sleep apnea wait a month). They got the CPAP all figured out and he slept well during his in-house test. The man who did the test said many insurance companies let you get the CPAPs from them so they just set them up and send it with you when you leave. Not our insurance... So now we have to wait another 2 weeks for these results (which is clearly bull since he said they can send home the machines with people) and then they have to send the results to his primary doctor who then tells him where to get it. The whole process is long and ridiculous really. I understand part of it is my insurance but when you tell me my husband stops breathing 100+ times an hour and then tell us to schedule a month out and then wait 2+ weeks for results in going to be upset. What if my husband loses his job because he falls asleep? What if he gets hurt on the job? This whole process has taken 5 months this far, but I'm sure he'll have his CPAP machine by the 6th month. (It took FOREVER to finally get approved to go for a study, that part is not their fault) The office staff was rude and ticked off at me for even asking when his results would be in. You should have heard the way she spoke to me. She shouldn't be answering the phones if she's too good to answer questions for patients. She didn't even want to look up my husband's information!
