  • Reviewing strictly for the nightclub: Door Service: disappointing to say the least. One of the head service guys certainly took our money earlier in the day promising special service for our private table and bottle service, but the follow throw was lacking. Overly busy, forgetting us, and seeming overwhelmed -- he often tried to pawn us off on his co-workers who didn't do any better. A certain level of disorganization and waiting is expected at most Vegas clubs even when getting bottle service. This was way more than expected -- especially since we got there early in the evening. We waited a good 30 minutes and had paid for table. Bottle service: our waitress was excellent--friendly, fun, and attentive. We got two bottles and lots of fixings for an average price. The red bulls and other nicer mixers were extra -- common though some nightclubs include them. The bars were packed so it was totally worth it for 9 of us to get the table. We especially appreciated the bouncer escorts to the bathroom but likely would not have been necessary f they didn't let in too many people and have an awkward club layout. One of my party was asked by the bouncer for a tip afterwards -- not classy. Atmosphere: most people were having a good time. The DJs were spinning well with some good remixes of rap, hip hop and rock. There were a good bit of dancers perched around and they had talent. Space and clientele: the Buddhist decor was tasteful (though I suppose not tasteful in regards to hedonistic pleasures superimposed around them). The clientele was dressed well and I saw a few people turned away that were dressed too casual. Vibe was shiek club in general. The physical space was large but yet far too many people crammed in. Literally packed like sardines. Hard to get to the dance floor and quite a few people pushing and getting physical when their friends or sig-o's got smushed. Many of the bottle service tables were poorly positioned too with awkward flanking of bathrooms and elevator far from the dance floor. Takeaway: I was excited to see the hype and felt it was fun often in Tao, but the overcrowding/letting way too many people on combined with poor door service and bad space for tables will keep me from returning.
