  • Last year I set out to buy a ring for my girlfriend in anticipation of our fifth anniversary. I faced two obstacles: 1) a relatively modest budget, and 2) it was my first time buying jewelry and frankly I had no idea what I was doing. After some preliminary detective work via Google I figured Made You Look would be a good place to start. After a good 40 minutes of browsing I finally enlisted the help of the saleswoman, who helped me pick out a wavy/ridged silver band with small chocolate diamonds that cost around $350 with tax (one of the least expensive pieces there), and which went over exceedingly well with my partner. It was really cool to see people actually making unique pieces in the back room and to get to meet the designer; that personal interaction went a long way toward making me feel more confident about the whole process.
