| - I'm writing after an awful experience getting my car detailed. The pictures I posted after from after taking it in a second time to get cleaned, after the first time it came back dirty. Here is the story.
I brought it into the Bubbles on Macleod in Calgary and was really happy that it would come back in immaculate shape. The package I bought was nearly $400 with tax and the manager (Patrik) assured me that it was going to look great and it was worth the money. Instead, it came back still quite dirty (there were still bugs on the front of the car and the inside wasn't very clean) and the upholstery was ripped out of the drivers side door and coming apart from the passenger side door. I showed Patrik and he said that he was sorry and would fix it if I could bring it back in.
I returned two days later and dropped it off to get the door fixed and the car re-cleaned, this time, I hoped properly. Patrik said that he would call in an hour or two and I could go back to get my car. Instead, 4.5 hours later, I ended up just going to the location after calling and not being able to find out if it was done. It remains dirty, and the upholstery on the door still wasn't fixed. Again, Patrik told me it was because the car is old (2004 Jetta) and so when they clean it, the steam is so hot that sometimes they pull the upholstery out - he then pointed out that they had done the same thing on the passenger side door, as if I was going to make me feel better. I told him that if he knew it would get damaged, then he should have warned me and not done the job, to which he replied that the doesn't have time to look at every car. Finally, after being quite upset Patrick said that I could take the car to an upholstery shop and get it fixed. On the way home, I went by the shop he recommended - they're only open Monday to Friday during business hours. This means that I will have to now take a morning off of work to bring my car in!
To make matters worse the car is still not very clean. I just took a number of pictures where the car is still quite grimy.
