rev:text	Snap Fitness benefits from being the only game in town in Roncesvalles. Located right on the main drag, it's convenient. Open 24 hours (but not staffed 24 hours), this small gym has everything most folks would need. Good selection of weight equipment and a variety of cardio machines. Once a year, they charge ~$25-40 per person as a gym improvement fee (above the monthly fee). I have actually seen new equipment as a result, so I suppose it's worth it! I tend to go in the evenings and have rarely found it so busy that I can't get a machine that I want. The equipment is older and the gym isn't constantly being cleaned but it's still decent. A couple of negatives - there have TRX but I've only ever seen clients use them when working out with personal trainers. I guess us plebs aren't good enough/trustworthy enough for the TRX! Now and again, there are young children around, which is weird at a gym with heavy equipment - not sure what that's about but it makes me uncomfortable! They also don't seem to have any kind of monitoring re: younger users. I've seen 13 year olds working out by themselves and in a fashion that will likely cause injury. I suppose it's the parents' job to oversee this, but I would like the gym to be responsible about who it sells memberships to! My biggest gripe has to do with their customer service. In September, I received an email offer for personal training. I wrote them back expressing an interest but didn't hear back. Followed up by phone, but didn't get an answer. Finally, I went it during office hours and spoke to a member of staff who didn't know anything about the offer but took down my details and promised to call back. It's been 2 months and I haven't heard back, and I've since made other arrangements (outside Snap Fitness) for my training needs. All in all, it's convenient for those in the neighborhood, and if you aren't picky about having equipment in mint condition, this place will do. Just don't count on them to respond to your queries!
