  • Finally. I have tried Oyster Bar's famous Pan Roast!! I've just recently heard a lot about Oyster Bar, and it was on my list to go to on my 24 hour Vegas trip. Got here on a Thursday around 11:45 AM, and was seated by 12:30 PM! Not bad! I read reviews that their namesake, oysters, were good. They were from Louisiana and probably the biggest I've seen. They were NOT good at all. They were also poorly shucked as I had to scrape it off the shell with my fork. For $12 for half a dozen, it's cheap, but I would skip it. Service is a bit scattered, although there's only 16 of us at the bar, the wait staff seem to forget simple items asked like lemons, napkins, forks. Really nice and accommodating though. The fresh and warm rolls are really yummy too. You keep nibbling at it while smelling the yummy food cooking in front of you. I thought the pan roast would be in a flatter bowl judging from the photos, but it is deep. OMG. So much food. The first bite was literally a taste of heaven. The creaminess, richness, and all that yumminess that comes together, WOW. Tons of crab (I kept getting shell which was not fun), lobster meat, chopped veggies, and a whole lot of shrimp. I ate two, and counted 10! With the rice, wow, it was just so so so worth the trip. I definitely think the pan roast is worth sharing because it really is a heavy dish and a LOT of food. If I was not going to be out and about the strip for 10 hours and flying which wouldn't allow me to travel with more than 3 ounces of liquid, I so would've carried the leftovers back with me. But, that's too much trouble for me and had to set a limit. Just writing about the pan roast is making me salivate at the mouth. Yes, you have to wait in line the entire time and have everyone present. But it's so worth it if you can wait less than an hour. Do it.
