  • There is a parking fee now (wasn't before). The Handicapped Parking is slanted & difficult to get in and out with the slant. High curb/no access near the Handicapped parking. Had to go far to get to the 3' wide entry-ramp in front of the steps and then walk back again to the wheelchair ramp to go up to the door. Bathrooms have fancy blowers to scatter bacteria and germs into the air. No paper towels. There are glass doors and glass windows beside them. People go there because they have vision problems so it is not a great idea to have all that glass. The second appointment is on the 3rd floor. Same thing - glass every door and glass walls around them. The receptionists are not too bright, and did not know what AISH is. Hello, this is Intake & they don't know? Tsk. Tried to charge $23, but that fee was cleared at the last appointment. The exam ladies expect one to have a neck like a giraffe to put it on the chin rest & reach higher for the forehead to touch the top bar. They need to lower it a lot more than they do. Very uncomfortable. They were trying, though (more than reception does). The final lady to arrange surgery said it is an 11 month wait. Surgery is 6:30 a.m. twice a week for diabetics, not sure if its for everyone. Lots of consent forms. She gave the appointment card, then said today's test is to be repeated in 6 months all over again. They want to know if there are any changes to your health. Horrors. The lady also said that they may have surgery at the Holy Cross Hospital. I said its been closed for many years, but I am aware that some offices are set up there. She corrected me and said it is a Hospital, so I had to shut up. I doubt if she was even born yet when it was closed down. Three stars may be a bit much at this stage of the game.
