  • This is touted as one of the top Thai restaurants in the country and the food is nice. I knocked it down two stars because the flavor has been knocked down to fit farang palates and the service is stoic and unfriendly. I know it's meant to highlight northern Thai cuisine and having lived in northern Thailand for a number of years it's still sadly a facsimile at best of the real thing. The khao soi i ate in Thailand was far less refined, much more rustic, and much more flavorful. The asian restaurants I appreciate are the ones that aren't there for farang, but rather there to feed the ethnicity to which the food claims to represent.
