  • Baku was our ABSOLUTE FAVORITE when the restaurant first opened years ago. I was OBSESSED and bragged to my whole network about it. I mean, I was excited to post content on my IG to share our experience. I've my celebrated birthdays, even planned birthdays and bachelorette dinners there. Once we noticed our friends were not as impressed, it was a disappointment. Baku to me was not only known for their unique menu, but it was known for the Baku "experience". My last birthday event was December 2015. After my party of 28 were all disappointed in the service. Last week we decided to give it another chance for our anniversary. The waitress was nice, but food was bland! My favorite sides were sweet potatoes and grilled corn. The potatoes were undercooked, corn wasn't seasoned, Sushi was bland, pork belly didn't taste as good as it used to, Kumamoto oysters were a disappointment, (especially after the cost) Shrimp skewers were dry, grilled grouper was slimy... and drinks were not crafted like they used to be. For a 200.00 meal, we had to pick up more food afterwards at another restaurant. This was very disappointing.
