After moving back to Montreal from Vancouver, I had a huge craving for some authentic, rich, Japanese ramen. I usually go for the miso based ramen soup because it's less heavy, but Yokato only serves their tonkatsu broth. It is thick and creamy, and probably the closest thing to Vancouver ramen I've had in Montreal.
My only complaint is that I wish they'd serve more broth with their ramen. They only fill up the broth halfway up to where the ramen noodles are, so because of the broth's thickness, the broth ends up almost like a sauce instead.
I was also happy to see that they had their ginger/roasted garlic/ground sesame seeds available at every table. +1 star just for this.
