The restaurant is visually appealing & comfortable. The Butcher Board app is country fare-pressed & sliced meat pieces; venison, liver mush & something else. OK taste, but texture is different & I'm not usually put off that way. The Chateau Vouvray was good. The farm salad was tasty. The gnocchi wasn't a potato base & was supposed to be "lighter"; the flavor wasn't unpleasant but in your mouth it felt like paste spreading on your tongue - again, I'm not usually a texture person - but it was weird. Also if it's not gnocchi - don't call it that. The scallops on top of it were divine but there were only two. The chicken and the dumplings were ok but the dumplings were the tiniest I've ever seen. The bread pudding tasted fine, but was dry especially into the center which it's usually the opposite. $125 for an ok meal means we won't be back for dinner, but we tried it.
