  • I would rather wear dirty, smelly, and filthy clothes than wash my clothes at this location. We don't have a washer\dryer in our unit in Little Italy, so we had to go here a few times to do laundry. Since then, I have worked arduously to make alternative arrangements in order to clean our attire, including using days off from work to wash clothes at my buddy's apartment or carrying heavy loads to my parents' places across town. This place is just about as bad as it gets. First of all, many of the machines don't work. The staff does the courtesy of marking some of the broken machines so unsuspecting patrons don't waste their money on them, but sometimes one will stumble upon a broken one, insert precious quarters, and return to the machine 30 minutes later only to find that the status of their clothing still has not changed. Secondly, the staff lets people do whatever they want in here. As a result, the entire place has a loud, dirty, and germy aura--not the type of environment that's good for cleaning one's garments! One time, there was a family in here doing their laundry...their kids hogged the two computers and listened to music (with no headphones!) while simultaneously eating junk food and consequently getting the keyboard\mouse nice and greasy for the next user. Did the staff say anything? Of course not! I don't expect them to be parents, but they should have at least asked them to use headphones out of courtesy and to remind them that not all users enjoy using a keyboard and mouse that are covered with a layer of grease and stickiness. At one point, I think the staff made a half-hearted attempt to help people find working machines and to try to organize the chaos that would ensue when people would bum rush a working machine like sharks on a school of fish, but it just wound up making everyone angry, especially a homeless person who seemed to monopolize the store. Thirdly, this place is outrageously expensive. What's up with paying a quarter for SEVEN minutes of drying? Lastly, there is absolutely nowhere comfortable to sit in the entire place. There are a few hard backless plastic benches and tables far away from most of the laundry machines, but that's about all. In conclusion, I would love it if someone took inspiration from Dante's Inferno and wrote "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here" above the front door of this forsaken establishment! No truer words would ever be written...
