| - Scam landlords, try to screw you even after you leave even if you always paid your rent.
I lived there years ago when I was in college and always paid my rent, and never damaged the apartment or appliances in any way. Nor did I ever disturb my neighbors or do anything else wrong.
Toward the end of my stay I eventually switched to shorter term leases, ending my stay there on a single month lease and then moved out and left. Now several years later after never being contacted by them during that time, I have a collection agency claiming I owe them thousands of dollars.
I guess their lovely tenants these days aren't paying their rent so they are having to come back after people like me who did, at least before moving out of that garbage place.
Aside from this their maintenance people people often not show up, there was often trash everywhere in the parking lot. I'd also witnessed kids in the parking lot waiting for the school bus, but also pulling handles on nearby cars to check to see if they were locked to steal what was inside. On one occasion the did this to my car as I was walking out, and it was the one time I had left my backpack on the passenger seat.
The front gate often times is just broken and left open. They'll use the "gated community" as a selling point, but be prepared to come home at night and find the gate broken and sitting open.
If you are looking for an apartment in this area, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
It was bad enough when I lived there and current reviews make it sound like it is getting worse, and in my situation it seems even paying your rent and not causing trouble isn't enough to avoid getting screwed.
