Hairdresser to my Asian friend: "Hi. Um... I don't want to pronounce your name wrong. You're...?"
Asian friend: "... Andrew."
It was kind of a weird way to start a conversation and helped set the stage for a pretty meh experience. Overall, this Sports Clip matches most of my times at Sports Clips. For $16 though, I've experienced better haircuts/salons.
The interior is pretty much like every other Sports Clip. A cheap, gimmicky design that does nothing to elevate the experience. There's sports on every TV though I'm 90% sure no one actually even pays attention to it. It was clean and in a nice area though so that was nice.
The hairdressers were polite, but didn't really keep the conversation going or add a lot of energy to the place. I love going into a salon where there's a lot of conversation and a joyful atmosphere. And again, the fact that the hairdresser assumed she couldn't pronounce Andrew (probably cause he's Asian) was a little weird.
I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to coming back here, but I'll definitely keep looking for a better place for now.
