  • I want to start off by saying the Dr. Bloomenthal is wonderful, sad to leave the practice for her alone. She truly listens to you and you can tell that she really cares. Wonderful bedside manner and very knowledgeable! Additionally, the building itself is decorated so creatively and makes the space inviting and relaxing, definitely kid friendly! My biggest frustration and the reason we left was the office staff. It always seemed to be one thing after another. I noticed on the patient portal that we somehow had a double booked a wellness visit. So I called and talked to a lady and she noticed the same and said she would delete the appointment. Then I got a reminder call for the appointment that had been "deleted" when it arrived. So I called, got the girl's name this time and again informed her of the issue. She said she would take care of it. So the day comes and goes and we get a notification that we missed our appointment. I called and let them know the dates and times I had called and who I spoke with and thankfully I wasn't charged, but I shouldn't have to call that many times. I also got a request for a specific procedure to have done at a specialist for my infant. I was given a few papers to make phone calls to various specialists to schedule an appointment. Turns out none of them do the procedure on infants. I called Agave and asked if they could help direct me with this issue and no one could offer me any advice or info other than what I had on the paper. Our new pediatrician agreed with the diagnoses and had HIS staff make the appointment for me!! Turns out there's only ONE place in the state that does it and THEY made the phone calls to find this out. That's how it should be done. Finally when switching to our new pediatrician, I faxed my medical release form to have his documents sent to the new pediatrician two days before our appointment. The day of the appointment the new ped informed me they hadn't received anything. So I called Agave, resent the form. Still nothing. Called agave got the run around, places on hold, you name it. Still nothing. DRIVING TO THE NEW PED APPOINTMENT, I stopped in at Agave personally and they had NO CLUE what I was talking about. Made me fill out the form again. Twenty minutes before our new appointment they still had not sent the documents. This sealed the deal. Loved our doctor, loved the location and environment. However the staff are just not professional and organized enough to make my time worth it, I should not have to work so hard to just make a doctors appointment.
