Haven't had something like this for a long time, as they're commonly sold by people on the streets in Hong Kong. For super traditional candy, dragon beard is something you don't get to see/buy often anymore. Prices are still $6.50 for a small box (8 pieces) and $7.50 for a large box (10 pieces).
In addition, they have other traditional items for sale here such a these small peanut treats and this crispy peanut and coconut filling in a wrapped skin ($3 each for something slightly larger than the size of a macaron). This was really fresh and delicious, one of the best I've had and it was made right there and then for me.
The dragon beard is thin and definitely tastes as soft but with a different texture than cotton candy. There wasn't enough peanut inside this dragon beard candy in my opinion, but it was still delicious!
They're not open every Saturday and Sunday, but when they do open, it's on a weekend morning and afternoon. Please go try it out if you can, there's not many chefs that know how to make this anymore.
