Seriously one of the coolest parts of my vacation.
I stumbled upon this park thanks to yelp while driving back to Las Vegas from the Hoover Dam. Just a couple of miles outside of that heavily trafficked landmark, Hemenway Valley Park is a gem, and, unlike the Dam, you don't have to pay $10 to park! You just turn off the highway, proceed south for about two miles, and BAM! There are sheep! I was expecting one or two, but at 2pm in the afternoon, there were at least 50 big horn sheep, napping and snacking in the shade of the trees and park gazebo. How cool!
There was not another human soul in sight, so I just sat there and enjoyed the panoramic views of Lake Mead and the company of some beautiful big horns.
