What seems impossible today will one day become your warm-up.
Clip, drip, and play!
I got a chance to give Cycle Ave a try after seeing their promo on Instagram. After checking out the schedule, I decided to take a class with Angie [who was subbing for Carli and also teaches at EOS Fitness!].
While I've been to their competitors, CB and TM, I must give this place props. I enjoyed their smaller and more intimate class sizes [about 15 bikes]. They also have two different kinds of classes: 35min #FLASHdrip or a 45min #DripToTheBeat class so if you can't devote yourself to work out for almost a full hour, you can always go to the shorter class. Shoes and towels are included. Classes cost about $20/ea.
The front desk workers are super sweet and since it was my first time into Cycle Ave, they even helped me set up my bike even without being asked. I thought that was pretty kind! You don't have to disinfect your bikes after class like at CB but it makes me wonder who cleans all the bikes and if they actually do clean them. This place also utilizes cubbies instead of lockers like CB and TM.
As much as Cycle Ave is great, there was only one minor drawback. I like how the class size is more intimate but with the room being shape like a rectangle and how the bikes are angled, the music absolutely blasts into one ear. I was pretty much deaf in one ear for a half an hour after class. A lot of old lady-like, "WHAT!?" was the majority of my post-workout dinner conversation.
It's still a 5-star place and a 5-star experience! I wouldn't mind cycling here but my heart stays true to another place...
