  • I wanted to do a spa day with my mom and sister. The last time I booked body blitz spa downtown. It was great as they have a pool, their body scrub was good but the massage was god awful. Total bill before tip 800$. This time I went googling because my mom did not want to drive downtown. I booked it at alfa spa. The price was comparatively super cheap. I was a bit worried it was one of those sketchy run down asian places. But what a freaking surprise. It was fantastic! When we came they gave us water and shoes. Then put us into rooms with a robe. Massage my feet then a wonderful massage. My mom goes to an rmt and she felt this was a better massage. I have been to a lot of rmt and spas and this was one of the better massages. You can tell the lazy spa masseuses who use their forearm and elbows to massage but my massage lady used her palms and fingers throughout. The place had soothing music with decent decor. I liked how she wiped off the oil on my body because I hate the stickiness when I leave but she didnt wipe off the oil on my neck, will have to let her know next time. The front desk person who I assume is the manager was very friendly and the masseuses were as well. They have RMT massages too so I will go for that next time. Just too bad their foot reflexology are all in private rooms. I would have preferred it to be like a pedicure place so I can chat with my mom and sister. Yes I realize how silly a comment that is. Forget high priced body blitz, I am sold! Coming back here with my mom and sister next time. Awesome spa! Clean, great massages. Did not guess that it would be from the price though.
