| - As a "museum", I'm giving this 3 stars. It's hardly an attraction that I would recommend to anyone visiting from out of town. However, my toddler enjoyed it for about an hour. We live about 25 mins from the city now and wanted to check out the local attractions. They have a military discount, so we paid $15 for 3 people, which was nice. Regular price would have been $21. Charging the same price for adults and children here seems a little much. Maybe they should have a family price or something. It's not like it's *that* expensive, but I feel like this place isn't quite worth each visitor paying a full $7, especially if there's more than one caregiver accompanying the same child.
That said, if I lived in the city, I would consider a membership here to bring my son for a little bit of socialization and occasional entertainment during the week. I still don't know how it's considered a museum....it's a play center. For very young kids. And if it was crowded, I would run far far away. There's just way too much to touch and therefore way too many ways to pass germs. They have purell all over the place, which I appreciated, and nothing looked dirty. It smelled like chlorine as soon as we walked in the door, so I don't doubt that they sanitize stuff. But there were a lot of fabric things....dress up clothes and puppets, that I just wasn't very keen on my little one playing with.
I read reviews, but I guess my expectations were a little off, probably because it's called a museum. It was all very educational, but not exactly what I was hoping for.
