I had moved out of my apartment and decided to put my furniture in storage for a few months (March-August). When I removed my belongings and found that my sectional and ottoman had significant damage from what seems to be their cooling systems/water. One part of the sectional looked like water had dripped on it consistently for the entire time it was in storage. When I brought it to the attention of management, he advised that there was no leak and took photos of the damage. When I made a claim through renter's insurance, I was told by the adjuster that my claim would not cover it since there was no visible water in the unit. Well of course there is no sign of water because my couch soaked it all up! *update* someone said that it would be easy to get proof of the water leak - it isn't. Extra Space uses Swamp Coolers and because the water was not leaking at the time we removed our belongings, we could not pinpoint when the leaking happened and from where. And we provided several photos (before and after) and was still denied - Such a scam!
