I wanted to like this place, I really did, as friends have been coming here for a while and have enjoyed it. It wasn't bad, but the saying "I've experienced better" it true. We arrived around 5pm and it wasn't too busy, so we sat inside at one of the barrel tables near the bar. The bartender was nice though lacked the knowledge I'd expect at a wine bar. The glass menu wasn't that extensive, nor was the food menu, which is lite bites on purpose, which is fine.
The selections weren't too exciting. We both ordered red wine so we went with the "red wine cheese plate". Came with 3 cheeses and crackers. The downer was that it was served on a plastic plate (think outdoor BBQ plate), which was very odd. Serving on a cutting board is a must for a cheese plate in my mind and the fact that we were at a wine bar should be a no-brainer. Our wines were also at different temperatures. A few tweaks to the menu and some common sense wine bar attention to detail would make this place much better.
