| - This was a nice, affordable date option. However, please note that my view might be a bit more biased than the average consumer because my bf was able to score tickets at half off on Groupon and was then able to further reduce the discount with Air Miles points. The regular price is around 25 dollars per person, and after the 50 percent off discount from Groupon and the Air Miles points, we got our tickets at a frugal fee of $2 per person! Who can say no to that?
My bf and I grew up in Toronto, so I will be reviewing this from a Torontonian perspective. The tour is mainly geared towards tourists, so a lot of the information the guides offer are part of the everyday knowledge of the city's residents, such as what the Power Plant offers at Harbourfront, what the Rogers Centre is, etc. etc. There are some key notes that they do offer about the historical timeline of these Toronto landmarks, so there is still a great deal to benefit from this tour in terms of its educational value for Torontonians. However, I have to admit that the main highlight of the one hour tour was the opportunity to take beautiful landscape shots and selfies. The boat cruises along a route that ensures passengers from both sides will be able to take multiple shots at the city skyline, with the CN tower as a central motif. The guides also ensure that there are several breaks throughout the tour for passengers to take pictures. Our guide had a great personality to boot, so that was a plus!
Unfortunately, no one had a selfie stick, so I have no advice for whether or not those are allowed on board.
