If I could leave a negative star review of this place I would honestly do that.
My first impressions, on Victoria Day, we had an appointment at 10am for a grooming. I took the dog and waited and waited for it to be his turn. By 10:30 I asked the person at the counter if it would be much longer as I had guests coming over that day and just needed the dog to have a bath. I was told that there was a scheduling conflict and they couldn't take my dog that day. I said fine and just went home after rescheduling for 2 weeks later (they don't do large dogs everyday).
On the date of our second appointment we took my dog for a bath and general grooming (just cut his nails). They took him right away, with no delay and no scheduling conflicts. About 20 minutes after dropping him off my husband got a call to come immediately pick up the dog. They told him that the dog pooped and peed during his bath and they wouldn't finish the job. My husband, who is much quieter than me, picked up the dog and they charged him an extra 20$ because of their "trouble" of having to clean up poop.
My dog, who is 7 years old, has been going to dog spas and groomers his whole life. He has never reacted this way before which tells me that something at the location, or maybe the groomer himself, stressed the dog out.
We brought the dog home and finished giving him a bath on our own and vowed to never go back there again. While I can understand that a dog pooping during a bath isn't the most pleasant thing in the world, I would pretty much chalk it up to a work hazard.
Two big fat thumbs down for this place.
