  • The Lake. I love the Lake. I have been coming here since I was a baby,elementary school field trips to the Dam, random trips now as an adult....And every time I visit I still find something new. Its so great to spend the day, pack a picnic and just have a good time and relax. I love all the coves,and docks. Its a little lake with in the desert. When I was a kid I was told all kids of stories about Lake Mead, some real, some I still dont know about lol Tales of the lake: I was told there were 8ft catfish, and missing bodies in there. I was told that a whirl pool churns in the center sometimes and it will suck you down. I was told there are underwater caverns that trap divers and they never return. I was told about the underwater city on the other side of the Dam. I was told that Boulder City was haunted by the souls of those that perished in the dam when building it.....etc.. The Lake is so cool and mysterious, and we need to always take care of that place and respect it. Be chill out there and dont fuck up the vibe. Love the Lake.
