  • Went here last night when my sister and I were too cheap to go out for an appetizer. You know, I just don't feel like paying a waiter 15-20% for literally bringing me a glass of water and slinging a plate of food in front of us. It was getting late (as if that matters in Vegas!) probably about 9:45 so we headed to Mr. D's. I wasn't totally in the mood for custard, ice cream, whatever, it's pretty much the same shizz, just a varying amount of egg yolks. It's practically just semantics. Anyway, I turned to my sister and was like, "eh, I don't want to spend $5 tonight, let's split something cheap." I ended up getting us the "Mt. Rush S'more" regular sized "concrete." It came out to $5.16. Ugh. I took a bite - it was like simultaneously cramming 18 S'more flavored poptarts into my mouth. The flavor was overwhelming. I didn't want to take another bite. It was literally like eating straight sugar, it was that sweet. I took a second bite - so sugary, I was squeezing my eyes closed; painfully sweet. It took us a good 15-20 minutes to finish off somewhere between 10 and 12 ounces of this sugar overload. We really need to stop finishing off things "on principle" (aka, we didn't want to blow $5 on two bites of ice cream) when it's just too much.
