rev:text	I'm a senior and native Calgarian but hadn't been to Western Heritage day for a few years. I chose not to support the Stampede because of their abuse to calves, horses, bulls, cows and other animals. Since their inception, approximately 250 animals have died from a heart attack or been injured and put down, both in the rodeo and chuckwagon races and behind the scenes. Because my daughter needed work, she decided to work for one of the booths in the BMO building so I wanted to go down to the grounds to eat with her. Good day for seniors to go as admission is free. Couldn't remember if they gave out complimentary tickets, so I called Stampede reception and she told me I had to pay $55 for a ticket or $17 for standing room. I told her I had gone to the Stampede for years and remembered there being complimentary tickets for seniors. She said she worked there over 20 years and they were never free. I called a supervisor and she said 'don't believe everything you hear' and then she went on to say 'you here everywhere that kids shouldn't get vaccines but they're absolutely necessary for kids'! Absolutely unprofessional to get on a topic like this that had nothing to do with the subject and she forced me to advise her that vaccines have all kinds of toxins in them including mercury and she flat out stated that there is no mercury in vaccines, which is untrue! After talking with these two, I felt unwell and my blood pressure and blood sugar went up and I never did make it to the evening Grandstand show! I've decided to stick to my beliefs and help my animal rights' group protest the Stampede's rodeo and chuckwagon races and never attend again!
