  • I was skeptical at first about putting my puppy through the board and train program since they used e-collars and that my Pomsky was almost 5 months old (I felt she was too young). At the same time, I don't have a lot of time to train my mischievous puppy and I'm not experienced (she's my first dog). She paws at people when begging for human food (my parents told me they had to eat in their rooms & even the bathroom sometimes), is a picky eater (ever since my dad spoiled her with human food), jumps on everyone, pulls on her leash/harness a lot, steals our belongings and runs outside with it, nips at my dad and I frequently... worst of all, she nipped my face when I was playing fetch with her and played tug-of-war with my hands! Ouch!! Time-out and everything else I've tried is just not enough for this adorable land shark! :( Willie actually called me after I sent an e-mail about my concern early in the morning. He answered all my questions and eased up my worry. Yes, there's a lot of controversy with e-collars, but you have to think of it as a tool and not punishment. And of course, it has to be used correctly, preferably with experienced dog trainers and having them help train your dog and you. David and Bianca are amazing trainers! I was surprised that Freya had 2 trainers, but hey, she now has 2 trainers for the rest of her life! :) They both had been sending me amazing pictures and videos during her training. Freya just looks happy in the videos! I was told she had a crowd of about 50 people when David was training her on the Strip! :) I just got Freya back from Bianca yesterday and I'm surprised how calm she is at home! She hasn't bitten me, hasn't jumped on the furniture and heels great. She's still a stubborn puppy because of her breed and has hiccups at times, but that's for me to reinforce her training consistently. I just noticed that she's been crate trained and acts more like a watchdog at night, which is funny because she's always been so friendly with other people... I used to think she'd invite a burglar in for coffee one day lol. Also, she doesn't cry in her crate like she used to! David got Freya back to eating dry dog food and recommended another dog food that she enjoyed! Overall, I'm happy with this whole experience and I highly recommend David or Bianca as your dog's trainer! I'm forever thankful for them and the Off-Leash K9 Training team! :)
