| - After driving past multiple times, I finally decided to stop at The Coffee Buddha this afternoon on my way home from grocery shopping. First of all, I love the look of this place inside and out. It is a repurposed house with a relatively small parking lot but what appears to be ample outside seating and a porch for the warmer weather. Inside, it looks like decor overload and I mean that in a good way! It has such a unique look. You could spend a lot of time just looking through everything on the walls and shelves including a number of books and I think I even spotted a copy of the board game Settler of Catan. I was treated most hospitably as I approached the counter and let the barista know it was my first time in and that I was new to the area. She welcomed me and we chatted a bit before I asked, "What's good?" Without missing a beat she said that they actually have a section called, "What's Good" on the menu. We had a laugh and I decided to try the Good Mornin' Vietnam which had amazing flavor from the spices added to the coffee and expression. I had it iced. They had a little section of merchandise including whole bean coffees, loose leaf teas, shirts, etc. along with art from local artists like comic books. I decided to walk around a bit and take it all in while I sipped on my coffee. I headed upstairs where I found a couple of rooms with seating and tables. It was very chill and relaxed. I could see myself stopping in here with a few friends and a board game to spend the afternoon. Did I mention they had Suicide Squad playing on the TVs? Needless to say, I fell in love with The Coffee Buddha and can't wait to go back. I absolutely love that they do work with local artists and musicians. It looks like they do a decent amount of events there as well. Between the atmosphere, friendly service and since it is right in my back yard, I plan to go back regularly.
