I have been a customer with Verizon Wireless since the 90's. I work for a company that gets a discount on services and accessories from Verizon. I work for a company that is a business partner with Verizon Wireless and I am Native American. I wanted to buy a refurbished phone which requires online purchase so I had to get it on MyVerizon. I couldn't remember if I ever signed up. After trying to login and finding I did have an account, I reset my password. When I went in, I noticed that there was a message that said I had to renew my validation for my monthly discount. This was the first time I had ever seen such a message so I asked a coworker and they said that Verizon randomly asks users to revalidate from time to time. I was upset because I received no such notice, and no one at work informed me that this is something employees need to look for or do. I checked my bills as far back as November of 2013 (that's as far back as I could online) and saw that I have not been receiving the discount. I went into this Verizon location to tell them about my problem, they said they would update the information, but REFUSED to credit me for the lost discounts. My bill is usually around $200 every month so my discount would be somewhere around $25/month. So we are talking about 18 months at least of lost discounts, for a total of around $450. I am livid. Maybe it's time to switch to a company that is fair to their customers. Maybe if I was white I would've gotten different treatment?
