| - BEWARE! These cabinets are junk, DO NOT PURCHASE. They come as a kit from China. The salesman "claims" they are assembled by a carpenter/cabinet maker. I do believe the cabinets were assembled by Stevie Wonder.
There were no clamps used, or any glue to ensure they are square and put together properly. Some of the support areas were nailed to ensure the weight of the cabinet could be supported, some were not. In short my carpenter had to re-work the cabinets to get them "hangable", the additional cost for the carpenters labor, far exceeded any "savings" from the "perceived" cost of the cabinets.
Finally, there was a significant amount of damage to the cabinets upon delivery. They were 1/2 covered with recycled cardboard! Which was not large enough to cover the finished cabinet, consequently, the exposed parts of the cabinets, and corners were dinged up. When the driver was confronted about the damage, he casually replied "the damaged areas will not be exposed" since some of the cabinet sides will be screwed together. Wrong answer, when the owner Steve sold me the cabinets he did not indicate he was selling damaged goods.....
Now after texts and phone messages, I need a couple of cabinets replaced, a "converted" cabinet, that is supposed to be a wine rack, and a large pantry that has deep scratches (found when the cabinets were unwrapped) that face the entryway. Looks like factory seconds....out of 32 cabinets, 9 had problems, a combination of the aforementioned.
In short, after paying $6,700.00 cash these cabinets are "junk", you're better to get Home Depot quality, they may not look as nice, however, the build quality, being square, lack of damage, and ability to return them if there is a problem, far out weigh any "perceived" benefit or savings from "Bear" cabinets.
