I went to Good Food with the belief that I would find it overrated. I thought it would be overpriced and pretentious. I was so pleasantly surprised. The food and service was outstanding. Three of us ordered a cheese plate; potato gnocchetti; mussels in curry sauce; garganali Italian sausage; potato gratin; and steamed bun. The truffle chutney was outstanding with the cheese. Gnocchetti was sumptuous with excellent sauce. We were surprised at how good the Italian sausage was -- it was the favorite for two of us, while the gnocchetti was the favorite for the third of our party, followed closely by the rich and bacon filled potato gratin. The steamed bun was a pleasant surprise. The server was engaging and knowledgeable. The wine list was exciting and eclectic. Try as I might, I cannot say that Good Food on Montford is anything but outstanding.
