| - You expect a certain amount of respect and kindness when shopping in high end retail. The same goes for making a return in high end retail. I was returning a pair of shoes on behalf of my boss (a wonderful, generous, brilliant woman) and Stephanie treated me disrespectfully from the moment I walked through the door. There was a tiny mark on the bottom of one shoe and instead of providing any explanation, she immediately became aggressive and demanded that I pay for the damage before returning the shoes. My boss and I fully understand the return policy and this was not an issue. I told Stephanie that I was texting my boss to see if she wanted me to return the shoes or if she wanted to come in herself. Mind you that my boss is a loyal customer and owns many pairs of these shoes. Stephanie demanded to call my boss, and as soon as I gave her the phone number she quickly walked away so that I couldn't hear her. I followed her and she gave me a very dirty look. I was very uncomfortable in the store. Stephanie raised her voice at my boss - very unprofessional! At one point she offered to discount the repair fee 50% (remember this). She ended the phone call and then raised her voice at me, being very condescending. I told her that I understand the policy and reminded her that these aren't my shoes to return, they're my boss's. She said that my boss agreed to pay the full amount for the return, which is when I reminded her that she offered a 50% discount over the phone. She claimed that my boss declined that offer so I picked up my phone to call her back to confirm this. Stephanie demanded that I hang up. She was nervous. I asked my boss if she wanted me to return the shoes and she said yes, then I asked if she accepted the 50% off and she said yes. Stephanie had lied to me, assuming I was weak and naïve, in order to charge my boss just to be spiteful. I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt and think that maybe she was having a bad day, but I was very kind and patient with her and she continuously matched that with disrespectful, condescending remarks and glances. There are many Louboutin stores in Las Vegas, and my boss has declared that she will NEVER shop at this location again because of the degrading way Stephanie treats her customers. Shameful.
