The huge downfall that this place has is that it is not organized at all. You place your order and they ring you up, then you find out that they ran out of what you ordered (on this particular day, they ran out of hot sauce and chicken wings). You then have the cashier shouting the orders. You are done right, just wait for your food to be called? No. You constantly repeat what you ordered to the person actually making your food and then they ask the cashier again to make sure. I don't know my order? Am I trying to get more food then what I paid for? Why didn't you ask the cashier in the first place?
I don't know why this place gets so much hype. Maybe its because the midwesterners don't experience great barbecue but this is average compared to the barbecue in Memphis. Not worth the drive unless you are dying for barbecue. Just writing this makes me want to drive 12 hours to Memphis to get some pork shoulder, ribs, and slaw.
