I went to Puccini's for the first time last week. I was hesitant at first, figuring that anyplace that was listed as inexpensive and college-student friendly would be a bit too Hair Cuttery for me as a working professional, but I was pleasantly surprised.
I called on a Monday to request a Friday afternoon appointment. No problem, they said I'd have Josh as my stylist at 5:30. Never having been there, I didn't really know what stylist to ask for, so I figured josh would be as good as any. As luck would have it, my boss let me out of work early that day, so I showed up to the salon a good hour earlier than my appointment just in case they could fit me in. I only waited about 10 minutes before Josh could take me. +1 for a salon with flexibility!
I brought pictures of a short pixie cut along with me (I had a shaggy bordering on "mom cut" pixie when I went in). While I was a bit apprehensive that Josh did the entire cut with a razor (I've previously been butchered with one of those before), it turned out great. I've now washed and styled it 3 or 4 times on my own, and it's a cinch. He did a great job of listening to what I wanted and giving me a great cut.
Total bill was $36. I belive it'd be cheaper as a walk-in than with an appointment, but the cut didn't break the bank. I'll be back again when I'm due for a trim in 4 or 5 weeks and will update the review once I've seen the cut grow out a bit and gotten another cut.
