| - We have been using Arrow Animal Hospital for over 20 years. I'm not even sure how we found out about them, I think it was a referral from a friend. We'd had some pretty poor experiences with other veterinarian offices (and veterinarians in general) over the years, and were looking for someone who at least knew what they were doing.
Arrow Animal Hospital has more than exceeded every expectation we could ever hope for in a vet office. Their entire staff is knowledgeable, professional, friendly, caring, compassionate, responsive and genuinely care about and love the pets. They are not just going through the motions, they live it day in and day out and have ALWAYS gone the extra mile to make sure our pets' needs (and ours) are met. The doctors-led by Dr. Sherrell and Dr. Prater-are top notch and extremely competent and tell you what needs to be done as well as exploring all options. I have never been pressured into making a decision on something, something I have experience at other vet offices. I've been to a few who have honestly tried to "up-sell" services, and I've felt like I'm at a used car lot. Not at Arrow. Vet care, or course, can be expensive, just as human are can be, but Arrow is very reasonable. And the best part? They will work with you!! They take Care Credit, and also offer in-house payment plans, so if your pet needs an expensive procedure, it won't bankrupt you and you can actually get it done without worrying how it's getting paid for. They honestly care about your pet's welfare! I can't say enough good things about these guys, and if you're looking for a veterinarian office who are in it for all the right reasons and genuinely care about our furry family members, then these are the guys you want!
Fast Forward a few days: Our 12 1/2 year old Golden mix, Roxy, was having trouble breathing and turned blue on the way to the vet office after they told us to bring her in immediately. It was determined that she had paralysis of the nerves in her larynx, a life-threatening condition common to her breed and needed surgery as quickly as possible. We contacted a specialist in Glendale, and they would do the procedure but short of taking out a loan, there was no way we could have afforded the care within a day or two and they would not accept payments or work with us. I spoke to Dr. Sherrell, he's the only doc at Arrow who does the procedure and he agreed to do it without hesitation. We had it done a few days later, for less than half of what the specialty hospital charged, we have a year to pay it off, and my old girl is doing great!! Dr. Sherrell and his staff at Arrow saved Roxy's life. They even managed to clean her teeth while she was under . I can't speak highly enough about Arrow Animal Hospital. I wish I could remember everyone's name, but there were so many people and it was a stressful week, but much thanks to Dr. Sherrell, Dr. Payton, Dr. Lindstadt, Beth, Whitney, April, Brenda and all those whose names I don't remember who helped take care of Roxy, and who have taken care of my other animals over the years.
