| - I know...a 5 star review for a dentistry practice? But really, I truly have no problem recommending Dr. Karren and staff. I have been a patient of Dr. Karren since (I believe) 2002. I had to switch to another dentist when my insurance changed a few years back. It was not very long until I switched back even though I was paying outside of my insurance at that time. I believe they offer discounts for uninsured patients.
When I first saw Dr. Karren, I was scared I was going to need a root canal as a previous dentist had told me that a certain tooth needed it. (My instinct told me to leave that dentist as I did not believe I needed a root canal-it just felt suspicious). I was very relieved to find out that Dr. Karren is honest and will do the least invasive treatments possible and I did not need a root canal but just a filling replaced. He has an excellent chair side manner and explains things to you where you understand what is going on.
As awesome as Dr. Karren is, I truly believe what has kept me coming back is the staff.
Kim, at the front office, is super friendly, always remembers you, and is fantastic and efficient at her job. She is a pro at helping you navigate through the insurance "stuff". I even called her last year to ask her opinion on which dental insurance plan she thought I should enroll in based on the fact that I had some impending dental work I had been putting off. She is about as good as any front office person I have ever encountered. if I had a business, I would definitely want her working for me. :)
Last, but not least, Pam one of the dental hygenists, is what really made me miss the practice when I left. She is so nice, down to earth, and great at what she does. I don't dread going to the dentist thanks to Pam and I never put off my cleanings anymore!!
