  • Two words: too sweet. The main culprit is that these cupcakes are like 60% icing and 40% cake by volume. And the icing is much too sweet! (the cake part was actually quite commendable: moist and yummy like cupcakes should be.) Two more words: too pricey. Over $3 for a cupcake? REALLY?! Well...I guess in terms of calories, it's worth it. (These innocuous suckers pack 700 calories per cupcake!) But I do not live to attain maximum calorie to dollar ratio, so I'm going to have to pass. The last word (see what I did there? hahaha...I'm so funny...not really...): so I know this complaint is kind of niche, but I came to order three dozen cupcakes for an event. They do not take orders less than two days in advance, so you are out of luck if you are trying to do so. They will not put cupcakes on hold for you without two days notice either. So I ended up coming at 9am the day I needed them to lay claim to my three dozen cupcakes, then carried them like a fatty back to my office to stash them for consumption several hours later. Certainly not ideal. (But hey: after sitting for 7 hours in the office, there was nothing off about their taste.) Definitely do not recommend. If you're desperately in the need of a dessert fix, take yourself to the longos across the hallway instead.
